1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) by your web browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences, ensure website functionality, analyze traffic, or display targeted ads.
In addition to cookies, we also use similar technologies such as browser local storage (localStorage). The Slovak Electronic Communications Act (Act No. 452/2021 Coll.) treats them similarly to cookies.
2. Legal Basis
We use cookies and similar technologies in accordance with the following legal regulations:

- Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the protection of personal data
- Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications (§ 109)
- Directive 2002/58/EC on privacy and electronic communications (ePrivacy)
Strictly necessary cookies are used based on our legitimate interest and statutory exemption (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR + § 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll.) — without them the website cannot function and they do not require your consent. All other cookies (preferences, statistics, marketing) are used solely on the basis of your demonstrable consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
3. Categories and list of cookies
Below is a complete list of cookies and similar technologies we currently use on marlotech.eu.
3.1 Strictly necessary (technical) cookies
Required for the basic operation of the website (language, session, remembering your cookie choices). Without them the website would not function properly. They do not require your consent.

3.2 Preference cookies
Allow the website to remember your choices (e.g. extended appearance settings) beyond the strictly necessary minimum. We do not currently use any. If we add them in the future, they will only be loaded after your consent.
3.3 Statistics (analytics) cookies
Used for anonymous measurement of traffic and website usage so we can improve the site. We currently do not use any tools such as Google Analytics, Matomo or Hotjar. If we add them, they will be activated only after your consent and listed here.
3.4 Marketing cookies
Enable ad personalization and remarketing (e.g. Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight). We do not currently use any. If we deploy them in the future, they will be activated solely after your consent.
4. Third-party cookies and external services
The website loads the following external resources, which do not store cookies, but their operators may process your IP address and browser data as part of providing the service:
- Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com,fonts.gstatic.com) — loading of Funnel Display and Funnel Sans fonts. Operator: Google Ireland Limited. - UnicornStudio (
cdn.jsdelivr.net,unicornstudio.io) — loading WebGL animation in hero section. Operator: UnicornStudio.
These services operate without setting cookies, but they transfer technical data (IP, user-agent) needed to deliver content. We plan to switch to self-hosted fonts to avoid this transfer entirely.
5. How to manage and withdraw consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in the following ways:
- Click the button below to reopen the cookie banner with settings.
- Click the cookie icon in the bottom-right corner of the page.
- In your browser settings you can completely block or delete cookies and localStorage. Help: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may limit website functionality (e.g. language switching).

In connection with the processing of personal data obtained via cookies, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Your rights are described in detail in the Privacy Policy.
